Valentine’s
Day Is Indeed Special
14th
February is knocking on the doors. Valentine’s Day is
a day when people celebrate love and relationships. Have
you done the planning regarding your gift, outfit, what
and where to have the meals? What should be done to make
it even more memorable?
Not
So Long Ago…
Romance
and love have been celebrated since centuries. Ever
wondered what were the courtship rituals then? In old
days, there was a custom in England to gift your loved
one with a couple of gloves. Affection was returned back
by wearing the gifted gloves. It would seem strange to
do something like this today. These days it is more
customary to gift chocolates and flowers. Even these
have become very common these days and newer ideas to
woo your partner are making way.
What
to Gift?
This
is indeed the biggest question that is faced by one and
all in love during Valentine’s Day. Time or age of
your relationship makes no difference. It is a special
day and no matter what, the gift must indeed be special
too or else you might be inviting trouble. A gift should
be something which the couples can enjoy together. After
all, that is the main motive behind celebrating this
day. Some food things to gift are:
- Romantic Sonnets of
Shakespeare (through an iPod, CD or MP3).
- Gifting an audio comprising of
romantic songs and poems.
- Having a special dinner (keep
it light) or evening at an exotic place.
Imagine
dining at a private place with a wine bottle, while
cuddling your partner along with listening to
Shakespeare’s Sonnets or romantic poems. These are
just suggestions. Do anything which will make your loved
one feel special. That’s the prime intention.
You
Can Do Even Better:
Creating
anticipation in your partner’s mind would be a good
idea. By keeping a CD of poems on love in the
partner’s car or loading a romantic song into their
iPod without they coming to know can help in setting the
mood even before your loved one has returned home. You
can do better by letting the kids stay at Grandma’s
place and both of you being all alone. Romance can be
further ignited by lighting candles and gifting or
trying a totally new and sexy outfit. Begin your evening
by dipping few strawberries in chocolate and feeding it
to your valentine. Strawberries play the role of an
aphrodisiac and hence help in setting the mood. You can
even cook for your loved one on the bed top or at the
fireplace.
Just remember one thing! Enjoy each moment of the
day together and never rush up.
