Carved and Scrimshaw Bone Snuff Bottles


From Hong Kong, we just received a shipment of Bone Snuff Bottles. They feature detailed scrimshaw work and carvings in traditional Chinese themes and designs. Some include dragons, Koi, children, and landscape scenes.

Just added to our site today is a unique selection of Carved Wood and Lacquer Inro. Each inro comes completed with a matching netsuke and ojime strung together with silk cord.

Hand Painted Chinese Fans


Lots and lots of Chinese fans arrived today. They are approximately 12 inch closed and open to 22 inches. Large enough for decoration yet small enough to use on hot summer days. Hand painted with watercolors. Carved Bamboo Framework. Handcrafted in China.

Reverse Painted Boxes


We just added a great selection of Reverse Painted Boxes to our website. The selection includes small boxes for your personal items or loose change and fully lined jewelry boxes.

Reverse painting is a unique art that requires the artist to paint the picture in the "reverse" order of a normal painting since it is viewed from below. (through the glass)

Wounaan Embera Baskets from Panama


Also just in from Panama....

Beautiful Wounaan Embera baskets. These amazing little masterpieces are finely woven from thin strips of chunga palm. Prior to weaving the baskets, the strips are dyed using natural fruits and other materials.
